Research Scientist-II (Non-Medical)

Not Exceeding 45 Years

Essential: 

M.Sc., (at least second class) + Ph.D degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Virology from recognized university with minimum FOUR years R&D experience in Virology laboratories after Ph D.

Desirable: 

·         Experience in handling and working in ICMR/DHR/DST/SERB/CSIR/DBT/ any other research projects from Medical college/ Virology Laboratories/ Institute.

·         Five publications in High Impact factor and indexed journals/Patents from national and international agencies will be given preference.

·         Post Doc. Research experience, Knowledge and Training in Virology/Microbiology and knowledge in Computer Application /Data Management is essential.

Nature of Duties:

·         Conducting, monitoring and co-ordinating all the activities of the project. In addition to this candidate may involve in research activities of the department as per DHR requirement.

·         To participate, conduct training and involve academic activities of the Institute/Department.

·         To write research article to journals for publications with relevance to the project.

·         Expected to develop, write proposals and execute them.

Research Scientist-I (Medical)

Essential: 

M.B.B.S with M.D./DNB Microbiology from MCI recognized medical college/institute.

(OR)

M.B.B.S from MCI recognized medical college/institute with ONE year of experience in Microbiology/Virology Laboratory.

Desirable:

·         Experience in handling of ICMR/DHR/DST/SERB/CSIR/DBT/ any other research projects from Medical college/Institute.

·         MD in the related subject from a recognized university for candidates with first class relevant degree.

·         Additional Post-doctoral research / training experience in relevant subjects from recognized institute(s).

·         Two years R&D experience in Virology/Microbiology after obtaining essential qualification.

·         Knowledge and training in Computer Application/Laboratory Data Management.

Nature of Duties:

·         Assisting in conducting and co-ordinating the activities of the project.

·         To participate and conduct training and academic activities of the Institute/Department.

·         To engage and participate in research activities of the Department/Institute

·         To write research articles to journals for publication with relevance to the project

·         Expected to develop and write proposals and executing them.

·         Candidates having experience in Microbiology/Virology laboratories will be given preference.

·         Experience in handling of ICMR/DHR/DST/SERB/CSIR/DBT/ any other research projects in Medical college/Virology Laboratories/Institute.

·         Three publications Indexed journals/ Journals with impact factor

·         Adequate knowledge and Training in Virology/Microbiology; with knowledge in Computer Application /Laboratory Data Management.

·         Minimum of TWO years R&D experience in virology laboratories.

·         Preference will be given to the candidates having experience in ICMR/WHO/DHR/CSIR/DBT related projects in Medical college/Institute/Virology Laboratories.

·         Experience of working in Virology Laboratory/Microbiology Laboratory.

·         Publications indexed journals/ journals with impact factor.

·         Basic knowledge in computer applications and data management.

Nature of Duties:

·         Performing and analyzing the experiments for the ongoing activities of the project.

·         To co-ordinate with the rapid response team of DPH in conducting outbreak investigations at state level. May involve travel to outstations for out-break sample collection.

·         Expected to involve in Research/teaching activities of the Department/Institute.

·         Data-entry and line-listing of samples.

·         Reporting of results to the network.

·         Assisting of administration/accounts related activities.

Lab Technician

Not exceeding 30 years (relaxable for SC/ST/PWD/Women (5 years) /OBC (3yrs).

Essential

B.Sc.,/M.Sc., Microbiology/Virology/Medical Lab Technology from recognized university/institute

Desirable

·         Candidates with  minimum TWO years experience will be given preference

·         Preference will be given to candidates having experience in ICMR/DHR/DST/CSIR/SERB projects

·         Knowledge in computer applications/data management is not essential but will be considered as additional qualifications
